BESPOKE COMMISSIONS
I graduated from Sheffield City Polytechnic with a 2:1 degree in Three Dimensional Design in Silversmithing and Jewellery in 1980.
Since then I have worked for other jewellers and the Brian Asquith design Partnership. I have been self employed and completed 32 years of full time teaching in the department of Art and Design at Chesterfield College. During those years I have undertaken some very exciting commissions in a wide range of projects including trophies and chains of office for the Soroptimists international. I have designed and made church silver ware and alter pieces including a bronze font. Commissions have also included several Public Art installations, one of which was for Sheffield City Council and two others for Chesterfield Town Council.
I have, in short, done quite a few varied pieces of work for a variety of clients both private and corporate. If you wish to place a commission, it is quite simple to do. I always adopt a close working friendly relationship with clients and make every effort to develop designs which satisfy the customer’s requirements while maintaining innovative and creative solutions.
My work is, I believe, well designed while innovatively creative and a touch quirky. The products I make are always well made with very close attention to detail and quality of finish.
